Violet Hacks is a 2-day startup-focused hackathon for female & non-binary individuals in technology. 💡 Learn what it takes to build a startup, meet investors, and join a community of aspiring female & non-binary founders. Never been to a hackathon before? Not even sure what they are? 🤷 No sweat!
Get ready for an awesome weekend of creating, learning, and connecting. 👯 You'll work on a team with 4-5 other talented techies who have a variety of roles & backgrounds -- Engineering, Design, Product, Marketing, Biz Dev, Talent, Community, and more -- who want to start a startup. ✨ There will be workshops, talks, and resources to help you put together a brand-new business concept, prototype, and pitch. 🎙 You'll have delicious meals and fun swag included in admission. 🥑 Finally, on Sunday you'll demo your creations to a panel of judges (accomplished investors & founders) and compete to win awesome prizes! 🚀 Thank you our generous host & partner, Domino Data Lab, for providing our venue! 📈
Violet Hacks is run by The Violet Society, a startup sisterhood for future founders. We run high-touch, face-to-face programs for ambitious women in the first 10 years of their career who are aspiring and early-stage founders. The Violet Society gives members the confidence, network, and skills they need to launch a company.
Is the event free? No; your ticket includes connections to dozens of companies, 10+ founders and investors, 5 meals plus snacks, 4-6 workshops, and potential for prizes worth hundreds of dollars! Get your ticket here
When is it? Can I stay overnight? The event will be Saturday, Nov 3 from 10am-10pm and Sunday, Nov 4 from 10am-3pm. No overnight stay is allowed in Domino Data Lab.
Can I come if I'm in high school? This is an 18+ event, no minors will be allowed, sorry!
Do you offer travel reimbursement? No travel reimbursement is available for this event.
What are the terms of participation? Terms of Participation can be seen here. In non-legalese, it means everything that you make at this event is your property to keep working on after the event, but we are allowed to share materials you create over the weekend for promotional purposes.
